Boxing: Pakistan to participate in China event

LAHORE: Pakistan will take part in the 2nd China Open Boxing Championship to be held in Guyang from May 29 to June 3.

Pakistan won a bronze medal in the inaugural championship last year. The national team will comprise of Muhammad Waseem (52-kilogramme), Qadir Khan (56-kilogramme), Sardar Muhammad (60-kilogramme), Amir Khan (64-kilogramme) and Nisar Khan (75-kilogramme) categories.

Former Asian champion Ali Bukhsh will be the coach and Syed Ashraf Ali will accompany the team as referee judge.
