PESHAWAR: Social and political awareness along with education is critical for both voters and electoral candidates during general polls, while the participation of youth in the democratic processes was vital to inclusive democracy in the country.
This was suggested by speakers during the fifth round of Ulasi Taroon, a youth capacity building workshop organised by the Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) at the University of Haripur on Tuesday. Speakers included Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa MPA Amna Sardar, Haripur District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani, and Haripur Varsity Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Abid Farid.
“For effective communication, it is important for students to speak up and clearly express their thoughts as future leaders,” Sardar said while addressing the workshop.
