The party has already finalised arrangements for the April 29 public gathering in which PTI Chairman Imran Khan will unveil his first 100-day strategy after “winning the upcoming general election.”
However, prior to this mega power show at Minar-e-Pakistan over the weekend, the party has planned a series of event to mobilise its workers and supporters. As per the announced programme, Khan will directly reach Lahore from London today (Tuesday) and visit various membership camps in the city. He will also address party workers and local leaders at five different locations in the walled city, including Bhatti Gate, Shahalam Market, Mochi Gate, Delhi Gate and Sheranwala Gate.
PTI Central Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan has underscored that as the country has reached at political crossroads, it has become inevitable to lay the foundation of a new Pakistan. "All patriotic Pakistanis will play their role and support Imran Khan and his party to bring change in the country. The party believes in ‘Do Nahi Aik Pakistan – Hum Sub Ka Naya Pakistan', which is the new slogan of PTI for upcoming general election."
Retract allegations or face action, 'expelled' PTI lawmakers warn Imran Khan
He highlighted that there always remained two Pakistans – one for the haves and the other for have-nots, but this would not continue anymore.
Addressing conveners of the PTI's Minar-e-Pakistan public gathering on Monday, Aleem Khan expressed that hundreds of thousands party workers and supporters are expected to participate in Sunday's mammoth public gathering. “They will also vote for the PTI and reject all corrupt rulers who have been looting the country for the past 35 years, he maintained.
Criticising the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) leadership, Aleem Khan said though the Sharif brothers always claim that they only believe in public service, in reality, they always looted the exchequer on the pretext of development. It is impossible to draw a comparison between the Sharif brothers and Imran Khan who has given word-class public hospitals and a university to the nation, he said.
PTI Central Vice President and Member Punjab Assembly, Muhammad Shoaib Siddiqui, also submitted a written application to Lahore Deputy Commissioner and Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) for the provision of security for the PTI chairman's visit to the old city. He indicated that the Imran Khan will also visit Data Darbar to pay homage to the Sufi saint after which he will visit different membership camps.
Lahore Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sumair Ahmad Syed had already refused permission to the PTI for holding any public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan on Sunday.
