Members of the Gandhara Hindko Board visited the Yadgar-e-Shuhada (memorial of the martyrs) in the historic Qissa Khwani Bazaar on Monday to pay tribute to those who were either killed or injured when British troops opened fire on protesters in Peshawar on April 23, 1930. The participants walked to the two historic monuments located in Chowk Shaheedaan in the form of a procession from Bazaar-e-Misgaran. They held aloft banners inscribed with slogans to remember forefathers who were killed 88 years ago. The participants of the procession also offered prayers for the victims at the monuments.
