RAHIM YAR KHAN: A man posing as a schoolteacher brutally assaulted a girl student for leaving the classroom in Rahim Yar Khan. She was not able to walk or move after being beaten with a stick and was shifted to a local hospital.

Officials said that Muhammad Arshad, a teacher at a government training school in Sadiqabad, sent his younger brother Muhammad Asif to teach students in his place.

During the lesson, Asif brutally beat Seher Bibi for leaving the classroom. The accused hit her with a stick which resulted in injuries to her body and head. The victim suffered a serious injury to the head and fainted as a result. However, instead of shifting the injured student to the hospital, the teacher threw her outside the school. Later, local residents informed the victim’s family who took her to the Civil Hospital for medical treatment.

While speaking to Express News, the victim’s family and residents said the deputed teacher, Muhammad Arshad, had not come to work for months. They said he used to send his younger brother Muhammad Asif to school instead. It was further stated that Asif would beat students for no good reason.

The victim’s family complained that police did not take action despite a written complaint being lodged at the police station. They demanded that officials concerned take action over the matter and provide justice.
