This was stated by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra while addressing the launching ceremony of the “Paigham-e-Pakistan” — an edict outlawing terrorism and setting the national narrative — at the Governor House in Peshawar on Wednesday.
He said that owing to the military operations and sacrifices of law enforcement agencies and the people of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata), peace has been restored.
He added that to follow the “Paigham-e-Pakistan”, chalked out on the basis of Islamic teachings and the Constitution of Pakistan, is the need of the hour.
Moreover, he hoped that it would serve as a source of inspiration at a time when, as a nation, we are in the reconstruction phase.
The message, he said, will provide a base for wiping out extremism, terrorism, sectarianism and linguistic oriented prejudices.
He added that the struggle against intellectual dishonesty could be successful if the “Paigham-e-Pakistan” is followed in letter and spirit, particularly in K-P and Fata.
