Anti-mosquito fumigation drive kicks off in Quetta
Campaign launched on special directives of CM Bizenjo

An anti-mosquito fumigation drive under the Balochistan Malaria Control Programme has kicked off in Quetta for curbing the spread of malaria fever and protecting the people from diseases.
“The drive is launched on special directives of Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo,” said Quetta District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Shair Ahmed Satakzai.

The fumigation has been initiated in different areas of Quetta city, including Inscumb Road, Zarghoon Road, Chaman Phatak, Jail Road, Hudda and Civil Hospital area, where mosquitocide was sprayed under the malaria control programme.
He said, “The drive to eradicate mosquitoes has been conducted on Shaldra Road, Kansi Road, in Pashtoon Abad and its adjoining areas.”
Quetta DHO Satakzai said the city was divided into six zones and anti-mosquito fumigation campaigns were being conducted for eliminating the mosquitoes.
