Police spokesperson says the boiler of United Mills on Maqbool Road blew up due to some technical faults

FAISALABAD: Three factory workers were killed and two others sustained multiple injuries in a boiler blast at D-Type Colony police limits. A police spokesperson said the boiler of United Mills on Maqbool Road blew up due to some technical faults. As a result, five factory workers suffered burn injuries and were shifted to burns unit of Allied Hospital where three of them died while condition of two injured was stated to be critical. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani took notice of the incident and constituted a five-member committee headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mian Aftab. The DC also directed the committee to probe the incident and submit its report within 48 hours, local administration official said.
