LAHORE: On Sunday, as many as 16 public companies of the Punjab government failed to submit their complete record before the National Accountability Bureau Lahore (NAB).

The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) had ordered 56 companies to submit their complete record to the anti-graft watchdog after a suo moto action was initiated against them over misappropriation of funds. The NAB had opened its office on Sunday as well to receive the record. NAB Lahore Director General Saleem Shahzad himself came to the NAB Complex at Thokar Niaz Beg to supervise the process.

A NAB official told The Express Tribune so far the record of only 20 companies was submitted. The companies that had completed the full record included Punjab Land Development Company (PLDC), Quid-i-Azam Solar Power Company (QSPC), Lahore Knowledge Park, Punjab Health Initiative, Gujranwala Waste Management Company
and others.
