QUETTA: Downpour in Balochistan since Sunday morning turned the weather chilly in the provincial capital, while flash floods were reported in other parts of the province.

The Metrological Department has predicted rain for three more days in various parts of the province, including Quetta.

Many streets in the city were filled with water as lack of proper drainage flooded the roads.

Weather turns chilly as light rain lashes cities

Vehicles, as well as people, were seen struck in water in various areas of the provincial capital.

Electricity kept playing hide-and-seek with the people of the city throughout the day as the downpour tripped many feeders of the Quetta Electric Supply Company (Qesco).

“Our teams are resolving the technical fault detected in all feeders, while efforts are underway to resume electricity in the city,” the Qesco officials said.

Rain caused flash flood in Loralai, Lasbela and other cities of Balochistan as they also received torrential rain.
