KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) awarded a 21-year sentence to three terrorists booked in cases involving possession of arms and explosives. They were arrested from the backyard of Muttahida Quami Movement's (MQM) Karachi headquarters, Nine Zero.
On Wednesday, an ATC in Karachi held the hearing for cases under the Arms and Explosives Act. The court indicted the suspects, declared them guilty and awarded 21 years of sentences to each terrorist. The convicts include Imran aka Baba, Abdul Hameed aka Asif and Ahsan Kamal. The convicts represent MQM's London faction, the police revealed, adding that the arrests were made in July last year during a raid at Nine Zero where the culprits were found in possession of weapons used for targeted killings.
