LAHORE: Gender specialists highlighted problems faced by women entrepreneurs and litigants in resolving disputes in courts, detailing how mediation can provide a more cost-effective and faster option to settle disputes.

Speaking at a consultative session for women on gender sensitisation in the field of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) recently, International Finance Corporation (IFC) Associate Operations Officer Saima Zuberi said the main objective of the ADR programme was to institutionalise mediation and other forms of ADR for more speedy and cost-effective commercial dispute resolution.
