Govt to set up 306 Ramazan Bazaars
Civil Secretariat to discuss issues of Ramazan Bazaars and price control
LAHORE:
The Punjab government has decided to set up 306 Ramazan Bazaars in Lahore to provide relief to the public on items of daily use. A meeting of the cabinet’s price control committee was held at Civil Secretariat on Friday to discuss issues of Ramazan Bazaars and price control. The committee directed all deputy commissioners to submit their respective contingency plans by April 10. All Ramazan bazaars will be established on May 14 and will remain operational till June 15. The agriculture department will set up fair price shop at all Ramazan Bazaars. The committee was told that with the help of philanthropists around 2,000 Madni Dasterkhawns will also be established to serve food to the deserving people. About 32 model Ramazan Bazzars will also be set up. At least 1,756 price control magistrates will ensure the implementation of recommended prices.
