ISLAMABAD: Federal Commerce Minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim has asked Australia to provide better market access particularly for export of fruits and seafood including mango, citrus fruit, apple, date and shrimp.

Fahim stated this at a ceremony for signing the minutes of the second Pakistan-Australia Joint Trade Committee (JTC) meeting at the commerce ministry on Thursday. An Australian delegation was present on the occasion. The second Joint Trade Committee meeting was held in Islamabad in February this year. Third meeting of the committee will be held in Australia next year.

Senior Joint Secretary Himayat Ullah Khan and Australian High Commissioner in Pakistan Timothy Spencer George signed the documents.

Fahim expressed the hope that Pakistan-Australia Business Forum would enhance business and investment opportunities between both the countries.
