4 Bollywood actors who prove that age is just a number
Turning 50, never looked this good
KARACHI:
While growing up in the 90s, watching Bollywood films over the weekend was everyone's favourite pass time. Films such as Baazigar and Andaz Apna Apna are to this date considered as cult classics. Of course, celebrity crushes existed too. And so did heroes with excessive facial and body hair.
While ageing might turn out to be quite painful for most people, some seem to work their way around it. And it's surprising that it was the hair-clad men from the 90s who managed to do so. Bollywood 'hunks' from the 90s, who are now over 50 years of age, seem to be sporting the best looks in the industry. Here is a list of four Bollywood actors, who could give all new hereos a run for their money.
1. Akshay Kumar, 50
Akshay Kumar started his career in the late 80s. He gained popularity following Khiladi which was released in 1992. Having learnt martial arts, he was the first choice for action films. While the actor looked very attractive back in the day, he sure seems to have come improvised along the way. The 50-year-old actor has spent over two decades in the industry and still stars as the leading actor in his films.
2. Jackie Shroff, 61
Stepping into Bollywood in the 80s, Jackie Shroff rose to fame with Hero in 1983. He starred in many other hits such as Khal Nayak and Ram Lakhan with Anil Kapoor. The two became close friends and were often spotted together. While Jagga does not do many films today, he sure seems to leave his mark whenever he is on screen. Jackie also has a son Tiger Shroff who is slowly taking over Bollywood.
3. Anil Kapoor, 61
Ringing in 61, Kapoor has come a long way as well dashing some very hunky looks. Starting his career in the 80s, Kapoor gave hits such as Mr India, 1942: A Love Story, Judaai and many others. He also starred in Hollywood's Slumdog Millionaire back in 2008. Father to fashion diva Sonam Kapoor, the actor manages to charm audiences with his good looks. He will next be seen opposite Salman Khan in Race 3.
4. Suniel Shetty, 56
Suniel Shetty started his Bollywood career in the 90s with Balwaan which failed to perform well. However, his 1994 release, Mohra earned him a lot of success. Sporting men's crop tops in the yesteryears, he gave multiple hits such as Border, Hera Pheri and Dhadkan to name a few. While he wasn't really popular amongst the girls back in the day, the 56-year-old is now one of the most good-looking fathers in Bollywood. Daddy dearest to Athiya Shetty, the Gopi Kishan actor is now one of the most handsome fathers in the industry.
