Riz Ahmed, known for his roles in The Reluctant Fundamentalist and Star Wars: Rogue One, might be starring in the next Wonder Woman installment, reported Metro UK.
Pedro Pascal of Narcos and Game of Thrones fame will also be seen in the film. In terms of casting for Wonder Woman 2, Jeff Snieder said, "I would imagine that Pascal is playing someone who is maybe a villain of some kind."
Speaking of the kind of role Ahmed is being eyed for, Snieder explained, "There were two decently sized male roles for Wonder Woman 2. One was a slippery conman type and the other was an opposing business man. I heard Ahmed might be roped in for that role."
The rumours surfaced after director Patty Jenkins confirmed that Kristen Wigg will be making her debut as Cheetah, the antagonist in the film.
So excited to confirm the most thrilling news. Yes! It’s true! So incredibly lucky to welcome the sensationally talented Kristen Wiig to our Wonder Woman family. Can't wait to finally work with one of my favorites. And SO excited by what we have planned. #Cheetah!!! @GalGadot pic.twitter.com/Gn0jICiIAH— Patty Jenkins (@PattyJenks) March 9, 2018
The movie is slated to release on November 1, 2019.
