For narrow lanes: 24 bike ambulances deputed in Pindi

Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer says Punjab government expands the rescue services to all the districts

ISLAMABAD: Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) on Friday formally inaugurated motorcycle ambulance service in Rawalpindi. As many as 24 motorcycle ambulances have been deputed at 12 locations across Rawalpindi to respond to emergencies in densely populated areas where ambulances or fire tenders take time to reach.

Bahawalpur to get 50 bike ambulances 

Addressing the launch ceremony at Rawalpindi Arts Council on Friday, Rescue 1122 Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer said the Punjab government had expanded the rescue services to all the districts and was also providing technical assistance to other provinces in the rescue field.

“Today we are in a position to share our success with other SAARC countries,” he said. He said the Rescue 1122’s flagship training academy in Lahore was imparting training to rescuers from other provinces too.
