Balochistan governor urges boy scouts to serve humanity with passion

Asks delegation to provide social welfare service training to young generation, students

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai on Monday said promotion of a passionate spirit was essential in serving humanity in both harmony and conflict.

“Related institutions in this regard, especially scouts associations, should provide necessary social welfare service training to the young generation and students,” said the governor while addressing a delegation of Boy Scouts Association at the Governor House, Quetta.

Provincial Secretary Information Muhammad Tayyab Lehri and Principal Secretary to Balochistan Governor Sajjad Ahmed Bhatta were also present.

The Balochistan governor urged the delegation of the Boy Scouts Association to improve performance of the organisation with advanced and modern technical training skills and ensure their effective role in remote areas of the province, including district educational institutions. The governor said that organisations like the Boy Scouts Association played a vital role in revitalising the spirit of humanity and social welfare within young people.

“This strategy is sought to increase the level of social, economic, cultural and political participation of youth,” he added.

He said that appropriate management of financial funds and related documents of organisation should be taken into consideration.

The governor said that it was necessary to involve young people in planning, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policies and actions that affected their lives.

The representatives of the Boy Scouts Association apprised the Balochistan governor of their ongoing social service programmes, watchful performance of the organisation across the province and future development and implementation plans.
