A draft list with 104 million voters will be posted at 14, 487 display centres set up by the commission, allowing voters to check their status. Every citizen who has obtained a CNIC till this year will be in the voters list.
The centres will also provide correction forms at the centres.
ECP launches voters’ verification campaign in Multan
Previously the ECP had announced that 7,928 centres will be set up in Punjab, 2,585 in Sindh, 2,545 in K-P and 1,429 in Balochistan.
Since the 2013 general elections, 8.1 million new voters have been added in the electoral rolls while the names of 0.8 million who have died during this period have been struck off the list.
The commission's SMS service has also been updated for voters to check their status by sending their CNIC number to 8300.
