Original cast of 'The Fault In Our Stars' excited to watch its Bollywood remake

Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi will be taking the lead

A Bollywood remake of teen romance drama The Fault In Our Stars is all set to go on floors soon with Sushant Singh Rajput and newcomer Sanjana Sanghi as the two leads.

The film is being directed by Mukesh Chhabra and is based on John Green's best-selling novel of the same name, the original film of which featured Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley.


According to Pinkvilla, Green was very excited when Sanghi was announced as the leading lady. The author tweeted, "I can't believe this is happening."

Woodley was quick to take notice as well and tweeted the famous dialogue from the book to grab Elgort's attention.

Elgort replied that the two should watch the Rajput-Sanghi version of their hit film together.

The Fault In Our Stars revolves around the story of two young cancer patients Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters who fall in love. The music for the remake will be composed by the music maestro AR Rahman.
