Avengers: Infinity War has become the fastest-selling superhero movie in its first 24 hours of pre-sales. In six hours, Avengers' latest installment broke Fandango's superhero ticketing sales, reported The Hollywood Reporter.

Followed by Black Panther, Infinity War now tops the record of previous superhero movies including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The release of the film's second trailer coincided with the ticket launch.

Directed by the Russo brothers, Avengers: Infinity War is Marvel's biggest movie yet. It brings together the characters from all Marvel franchises including Black Panther and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Black Panther has also become the second largest superhero movie of all time, topping Christian Bale's The Dark Knight. It has also grossed more than $1.1 billion worldwide and is hoping to be at the top of the box office in its fifth consecutive week of running.

Avengers: Infinity War is slated to hit screens worldwide on April 27, 2018.
