At Sadiqabad: New export terminal built

Containers would be sent to Karachi Port through the WeBoc system

MULTAN: A new export terminal of the Multan Dry Port has been notified by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) at Sadiqabad and its opening ceremony will be held soon after deployment of necessary staff. Multan Dry Port Trust Chairman Khawaja Muhammad Faazil said the new terminal would facilitate traders and business community of parts of upper Punjab and the entire south Punjab including Kamalia, Bhai Pheru, Changa Manga, Pattoki, Renala Khurd, Okara, Sahiwal, Mianchannu, Khanewal, Tibba Sultanpur, Burewala, Basti Malook, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan and Multan. He said being nearer to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route and the motorway, the Sadiqabad export terminal would turn out to be a hub of trade activities. Containers would be sent to Karachi Port through the WeBoc (Web-based One Customs) system, he added.
