Indian man commits suicide, asks wife to marry lover in note

A 24-year-old electrician in India, committed suicide after he discovered his wife was having an extra-marital affair with their neighbour.

K Achary, left a note requesting his parents to allow his wife and her love interest to elope, citing it as his dying wish. Achary married his wife Usha Rani two years ago and the couple has a one-year-old daughter.

The suicide victim sent a message to his father on Wednesday, saying he had decided to end his life. When his father tried calling him, Achary's phone was powered off. The family soon arrived at his residence, only to find Achary hanging from a ceiling fan.

According to the inspector, the victim wrote in the suicide note, “Mom and dad I am sorry. No one should have a son like me and I am a failure. Consider it as my last wish and get my wife Usha married to Srikanth. Her parents have nothing to do with it and do not blame her.”

A similar case was reported in Hyderabad, India, whereby a 20-year-old student hung himself during a video call with his girlfriend, Times of India reported.

The victim, Ajmeer Sagar was a college student at an industrial training institute in the city. The police reported he was living with his sister and brother-in-law and no one was home when he put a noose around his neck.
