PFA cracks down on food suppliers

LAHORE:
The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed around 20 food premises and 71 business operators in a massive drive against substandard suppliers, production units and eateries on Wednesday.
The businesses were fined Rs508,600 due to multiple hygiene issues and non-compliance with PFA rules and regulations.
On the directions of PFA Director General Noorul Amin Mengal, teams under the supervision of Food Safety Officers raided various premises to ensure implementation of PFA’s rules and regulations.
