According to Vatican News, Archbishop Joseph Coutts of Karachi will invite the pope to visit Pakistan on the sidelines of the visit. Members of the Pakistan Catholic Bishop’s Conference (PCBC) are currently in Rome on an ‘ad limina’ visit – a visit by heads of diocese made every five years to report on the state of their jurisdiction.
They will concelebrate Mass at the Vatican’s Casa Santa Marta residence with the pope on Thursday morning, followed by a discussion over the current situation in the country.
