Education: SU sets up alumni fund

HYDERABAD: The Sindh University (SU) alumni fund will be set up and used for the welfare of the students, it was decided at the second meeting of the consultative committee held on Monday.

The meeting was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Nazir A.

Mughal, while representatives of political parties and teachers were present as well.

The committee appealed to the university alumni and philanthropists to give donations.

It was decided that a date should be fixed to remove posters and banners from campus.

The vice chancellor said that extra-curricular activities will be promoted by setting up a welfare association.

Two students will be nominated on the basis of academic excellence to work towards this goal.
