Runaway: Motorway police reunites boy with family

LAHORE: The Central Zone National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) Guidance Centre has reunited an 11-year-old boy with his family on Tuesday. The boy was found on national highways near Ahmad Pur in the area of Beat 21. Motorway Patrolling Officers Imtiaz Hussain and JPO Abdul Qayum spotted Danyal, son of Mustafa, a resident of Chichwatn, on national highways.

The officers got the contact number of his father and called him. The father said three days ago he ran away from the home after a quarrel with him and they tried hard to trace the boy but could not find him. The boy was handed over to his maternal uncle on his request in presence of witnesses after completion of due formalities. The legal heirs of the child thanked NH&MP officers for reuniting their child. The Zonal Commander National Highways and Motorway Police DIG Ahmad Arslan Malik appreciated the efforts of the police officers.
