Four police officers removed from posts in Karachi

Officers directed to report to Karachi police office for further orders

KARACHI: Two deputy superintendents of police (DSPs) and two inspectors were removed from their posts on Friday.

The police officers were posted to West Zone and were removed from their posts by the newly-appointed West Zone police chief.
The police officers removed from their posts included SITE division DSP Shahid Bashir, Surjani DSP Ishtiaq Hussain Arain, Gabol Town SHO Zawar Hussain and former reader to Surjani sub-divisional police officer inspector Ghulam Rasool Magsi.

In separate notifications issued by West Zone DIG Amir Farooqi, the DIG stated that since taking over the charge as the West DIG, the working of police officers had been monitored and it was observed that the performance of these police officers towards government duty was distasteful and not up to the mark.

It was also learnt that the officers were engaged in unprofessional activities and thus, did not deserve to be retained in the zone, the notifications stated.

These police officers are hereby removed from their posts and surrendered from this zone immediately with directions to report to the Karachi police office immediately for further orders, the notifications read.
