KHAIRPUR: The 100-foot-wide breach in Sehar Canal near Khairpur was fixed after 24 hours.

The breach developed on Saturday night and inundated Usman Bhayo, Jamali Goth and six other villages.

The water also entered the date and mango fields spread over hundreds of acres.

Khairpur DCO said that the breach occurred because the embankments were weak.
