The raids were part of the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, a military offensive launched in February 2017 against the “latent threat of terrorism.”

On February 28, FC conducted an IBO on suspected terrorist hideouts in Chaman, Sibi, Uch and Kohlu areas of Balochistan as part of the ongoing operation and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition including suicide jackets, RPG rockets, sub-machine guns, mines, explosives, detonators and ammunition.
