Pakistan, Argentina talk bilateral development

Argentina and Pakistan are seeking to enhance cooperation between both the countries in the field of Science and Technology.


To this end, a dinner reception was organised for a delegation led by the Minister of Science and Technology, Mir Changez Khan Jamali, hosted by the Ambassador of Argentina, Rodolfo Martin Saravia at his residence here on Sunday.

The dinner bid farewell to the delegation going to the Third Committee of Science and Technology in Argentina.  The ambassador highlighted a number of projects that both countries have been working on. He added that exchange of ideas continues between the countries in the field of science and technology and there is immense potential and interest in areas like solar technology.

He also discussed initiatives such as mapping of the Arabian sea with the help of Argentina, which is underway.  Argentina is also looking into establishing fruit processing plants that will help Pakistan’s fruit production and presentation. “I hope that the trip is a success and you bring back good news as well as great experience,” said Saravia.

The minister expressed interest to work on possible Memorandums of Understanding in the fields science, medicine and industries. The dinner reception comprised members of the delegation, media and embassy staff. Pakistani dishes were served and conversation at the dinner table ranged from future plans to politics and tango dance.
