Topping the charts: UET Peshawar student given excellence award

Besides the award, the department gives Rs100,000 for securing the top position

PESHAWAR: An electrical engineering student has been given an excellence award and a cash prize by a cable manufacturing company.

Maria Hameed, a student of Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Peshawar was given the award at a ceremony held on Tuesday. Apart from the award, she was also given Rs100,000 for securing the top position in her department.

Fast Cables General Manager Sales Muhammad Usman presented the cheque to her.

Later, Usman invited students of UET to undertake a study tour of their factory in Lahore and provide interning opportunities.
