Security forces on Sunday were able to recover a large cache of arms and ammunition while clearing minefields laid by terrorists in areas of South Waziristan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the drive took place in the Nankae, Raghzae , Chargolai and Gurgurai Zafar Khel areas.

The recovered arms and ammunition included 82mm mortar, light machine guns , RPG-7 guns, sub machine guns,  303 rifles , hand grenades, anti-tank mines.

Security forces foil major terror bid in Hyderabad

On February 11, 20 suspected militants were arrested by Balochistan Frontier Corps, a statement issued by the army’s media wing said on Sunday.

A huge cache of arms and ammunition were recovered during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted by FC personnel in Buleda, Gish Kaur, Tratha and Pishin areas of the province.

The security forces found RPG rockets, sub-machine guns and sniper rifle along with laptops, GPS and communication equipment.
