The prosecution told the court that accused Nasir and Imtiaz had gunned down a man named Ahmed Shehzad during a robbery bid on February 5, 2017.
The accused had snatched Rs50,000, a mobile phone and a motorcycle from the victim.
Police registered a case against the accused and presented the challan before the court. After hearing the arguments, the judge handed down 64 years jail sentence to both Nasir and Imtiaz. The court also imposed a fine of Rs1.1 million which would be paid to the legal heirs of the deceased as compensation money.
Earlier, a court awarded death sentence to a murder convict and life term to two others for their involvement in a murder case in Sargodha.
