Judges’ appointment: Parliamentary Committee meets today

Chaudhry Shujaat will represent the government in the parliamentary committee.

The Parliamentary Committee on Judges Appointment is set to meet today (Monday) to finalise recommendations forwarded by the Judicial Commission, reported Express 24/7.

Sources have said that Chaudhry Shujaat, whose party, the PML-Q, has recently joined the federal cabinet, will represent the government in the parliamentary committee.

Sources added that today is the last day for the parliamentary committee to finalise Judicial Commission’s recommendations otherwise the names finalised by the judicial commission will be deemed final.
