FC Balochistan recovers weapons during IBO

Last week at least 20 suspected militants were arrested

Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan conducted an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) on suspected terrorist hideouts in Chaman, Sibi, Uch and Kohlu areas of Balochistan early Wednesday morning as part of the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, confirmed the army's media wing.

A huge cache of arms and ammunition including suicide jackets, RPG rockets, submachine guns, mines, explosives, detonators and ammunition was recovered.

Earlier this week, at least 20 suspected militants were arrested by FC Balochistan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a huge cache of arms and ammunition were recovered during IBOs conducted by FC personnel in Buleda, Gish Kaur, Tratha and Pishin areas of the province.

The security forces found RPG rockets, submachine guns and sniper rifles along with laptops, GPS and communication equipment.

Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, or Elimination of Discord, was launched in February last year after a sharp uptick in terrorist attacks in the country.
