LAHORE: Officers and officials from The National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) have set up a wall of kindness near the Babu Sabu building complex. The NH&MP officers and officials donated clothes, books, toys and shoes. Justice Nasira Javid Iqbal commended the efforts of the motorway police and termed them as role models for other departments. Columnist Habib Akram also lauded their efforts, calling the wall a concept of good will for needy people. DIG Mirza Faran Baig said Pakistan was the most generous nation in the world with people donating regularly. Only those who are in need and do not want to beg have a right to benefit from the wall, he stressed. “The initiative received a lot of support from our members which has prompted us to plan to set up similar walls across national highways in the future,” he said. The locals also expressed their appreciation for the motorway police’s gesture of humanity.
