one week: Police complete 116 investigations

Eight search operations conducted in the city

ISLAMABAD: The capital police completed investigations in as many as 116 cases last week and submitted their challans in the relevant courts, a police spokesperson said on Tuesday. Apart from the investigations, legal action was initiated against 223 professional alm-seekers. Moreover, eight search operations were conducted in the city wherein 16 suspects were held. Weapons, as well as ammunition, were recovered from them. Two gambling dens were also busted and 17 suspected gamblers were arrested red-handed while stake money worth Rs73,600 and other valuables were recovered from them.
