HYDERABAD: A fire broke out in the Makki Shah area on Sunday due to a short circuit. Two fire-fighters, Zainul Abidin and Raheel, were injured while they put the fire out.

They stopped the fire from spreading to the adjoining shops and houses.

However, two power transformers were damaged which led to a power outage in the area that lasted all night.

The thick smoke also hampered the signals from two mobile phone signal towers. The shop owners, Nasrullah Khan and Shabrati Khan, have reported losses worth millions of rupees.
