KARACHI: The Joint Action Committee of the staff of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), National Institute of Child Health and the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases has given the government an ultimatum of 36 hours to meet their demands.
They want their hospitals to remain under federal management instead of being transferred to the provincial government. The committee warned that if their demands are not met by May 9, they will close the out-patient departments in Karachi and set up a protest camp at the main gate of the JPMC.
