Upgraded: 105 cops promoted

ISLAMABAD: As many as 105 lower-ranked officials of the Islamabad Police have been promoted. The promotions came following recommendations from the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), a police spokesperson said on Tuesday. On the special directions of the Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr Sultan Azam Temuri a meeting of departmental promotion committee headed by SSP headquarters Hassan Iqbal with other members SP Headquarters Sumaira Azam, DSP headquarters Abdul Razzaq, DSP PTS Bakhtiar Ahmad and OSI Sultan Ahmad was held at Police Line headquarters Islamabad. They approved the promotion of officials to the next rank of head constable.
