RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has been directed to accelerate its on-going operation against illegal commercial and residential constructions within its controlled areas, Rawalpindi Commissioner Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary said.
Chaudhry, who is also DA director general, said various shops and residential building structures illegally erected were either demolished or sealed during January and February and the owners of the land were issued notices on the rules violations.
RDA officers have been instructed to take strict action against illegal construction within RDA limits.
Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Directorate, Building Control personnel including building inspectors have been directed to regularly visit different areas to check illegal constructions and the rules violators should be dealt with iron hand.
