Police, Pakistan Rangers, security agencies , lady officers, staff of Bomb Disposal squad searched for suspects

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police, along with the Pakistan Rangers conducted a search operation in various parts of the city on Saturday, arresting four suspects, recovering arms and ammunition from their possession. Police, along with troops from Rangers and security agencies conducted the search in various parts of Khanna and Ramna under the supervision of SP (Rural) and SP (Saddar). Police commandos, lady officers and staff of Bomb Disposal squad also participated in the search operation. During the search, officials screened 100 houses and frisked more than 200 people. As many as four motorbikes were impounded after officials discovered that they were being driven without proper documents. The police questioned and arrested four suspects and recovered guns from them. SSP Islamabad Najeebur Rehman Bugvi explained that the search operation was carried out to ensure high vigilance in the city. He has also requested the citizens to remain vigilant and to inform the police in case they spot any suspicious activity around them.
