Surprise Visits: 5 security officials suspended

The minister also ordered an inquiry against them on charges of absence from duty.

FAISALABAD:
The Punjab Minister for Labour, Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Haji Ihsanuddin Qureshi, ordered the suspension of five social security officers who were found absent during a surprise inspection on Friday.

According to officials, the minister paid a surprise visit to the directorate of the Punjab Social Security West Circle at  9:30 am and took attendance  of the entire staff.


During the inspection, social security officers Rasheed Ahmad, Khalid Mehmud, Muhammad Shafique, Muhammad Ramzan and Aqdas Ali were found to be missing.

In yet another surprise visit, the minister ordered that a show cause notice be issued to the medical superintendent of the Social Security Hospital Madina Town for poor sanitation and cleanliness in the hospital.
