The Daska police, on Friday, continued its search for finding the heirs of the Daska tehsil based Pakistani Muhammad Shabir, son of Bashir Ahmed, who was said to have passed away in an Indian jail a few days ago.

Police officials made announcements through loud speakers in almost all the urban and rural areas but were unable to locate the heirs.

Daska based senior police officials said that the Punjab home secretary had faxed a message to Sialkot DPO Bilal Sadique Kamiyana on May 3 that a Daska tehsil resident Muhammad Shabir, son of Bashir Ahmed, had expired in an Indian prison.

He asked the DPO to ensure an early search of heirs so that they could collect the body.
