Three arrested for planning robbery
Police recovered a motorbike, weapons and liquor
ISLAMABAD:
The capital police have arrested eight people including three suspected robbers, recovering a motorbike, weapons and liquor from them, a police spokesperson said on Tuesday.
The official said that the robbery suspects were arrested during a raid on their hideout near Koral.
“The police team raided the hideout of dacoits in the`Sodhrian’ area and arrested three dacoits red-handed as they were planning to commit dacoity in an adjoining area,” read a police statement.
The suspects were identified as Tariq Aziz, Ishtiaq and Qasim. Police said that they had recovered three 30-bore pistols along with ammunition from the suspects.
Meanwhile, ASI Ishtiaq from Kohsar police station arrested two suspected bike lifters, and recovered a stolen bike from them.
The Margalla police arrested a suspected bootlegger and recovered a bottle of liquor from him.
The Golra police arrested an Azerbaijan national Zairov Perviez for living after the expiration of his visa.
