Speaking at a cheque distribution ceremony among victims of housing societies, the chairman said, "No negligence will be shown towards any from the private housing society."

He further said that bail of influential culprits will be rejected if NAB deemed necessary. He distributed cheques of amount Rs304. 1 million rupees among victims of cases of double Shah elite town and Lahore garden scheme.

The media was not invited to cover the event. Only victims and regulators of different housing societies and nab officials were present

The role of regulators in the housing scandal is highly important, the chairman stressed. "Why do regulators observe silence when an advertisement is given in the newspaper," he questioned.

NAB will not tolerate anyone's negligence, Iqbal said. He reiterated that the bureaucracy can't run under any other entity's orders. He claimed that there will be "complete accountability" for dutiful people.

"There will be complete accountability for the wrong order givers and their complaint," he said. There is no supremacy in NAB, no special treatment, he claimed.
