Minor killed, another injured in North Waziristan IED explosion

Brothers were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for immediate treatment

NORTH WAZIRISTAN:
A five-year-old minor was killed, while an eight-year-old sustained injuries when an improvised explosion device (IED) went off in a village in North Waziristan on Thursday.

Two soldiers martyred as military vehicle ambushed in North Waziristan

Following the explosion, the brothers were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) Mir Ali. The injured was later shifted to Bannu on the advice of a duty surgeon.

Yesterday a military vehicle was ambushed in Idak village, North Waziristan late Tuesday night leading to the martyrdom of two soldiers and injuring three others.


The two soldiers who embraced martyrdom have been identified as Naib Subedar Faisal and Naik Naeem.

One killed, eight injured in Panjgur roadside explosion

Three soldiers were injured and shifted to a nearby hospital for medical assistance. The injured have been identified as Naik Idrees, Sepoy Mudassir and Sepoy Azhar.

In December, last year three Frontier Corps (FC) personnel embraced martyrdom in a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) blast in North Waziristan Agency. An Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said, “The FC’s bomb disposal team was conducting a routine search and clear operation [in the village of] Ghulam Khan near the Pak-Afghan border when they [team members] embraced martyrdom.”
