KARACHI: White-washed suits seem to be the biggest fashion trend to dominate the red carpet. Spruced or stooped, tailored trousers with complementing jackets have hit celebrity wardrobes.
Mahira Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Pudukone are three such celebrities to follow suit and we must say, each diva has made it her own.
On the final day of the PFDC L'Oreal Paris Bridal Week PLBW, Mahira graced the ramp for her speech, donning an oversized white suit. Although the trousers look immaculate, the large blazer was a no-go.
Pairing it with a black laced blouse and glitzy mesh heels, the Raees star accessorised with gold tassel earrings. Highlighted eyes, a peachy nude pout and bold brows completed her look.
At Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party in LA, superstar Priyanka Chopra went for the ‘straight out of bed’ look and came clad in white Ester Abner silk separates.
Embracing the pyjama trend, the Baywatch star managed to pull off the feather-trimmed piece however; we’re not quite sure what’s happening with those trousers. The ill-fitting just didn’t do the outfit justice and the extensive hemline hid away her shoes.
The look, on the whole, screamed confusion. The fur overcoat shouldn’t have been there and the accessories were so-so. The hair and makeup, on the other hand, was on point. The mauve lips, smoked out eyes and messy hair was definitely her saving grace.
The Padmaavat starlet attended the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit in Mumbai recently, wearing an off-white silken Lanvin suit matched with a lace blouse. And we must say, she looked badass.
The wide leg high-waisted trousers and long-line blazer with the slip top tucked in, made her look effortlessly chic. And a slicked back ponytail with pearl earrings was definitely a great choice to go with that dewy skin and red lips. She rounded off the look with nude pumps.
So, who did it suit more? For us, it was Deepika’s polished look that stole the show.
