This was revealed in the ninth review meeting of the District Quality Control Board, chaired by Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Khawaja Imran Nazir on Tuesday. The meeting was held at Directorate General Health Cooper Road.
Addressing the meeting, the minister said the Punjab government was making efforts to provide the best healthcare facilities to the masses. “In this regard, the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department is doing whatever it takes to beat the challenges,” he remarked.
Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Secretary Ali Jan Khan, Drugs Control Additional Secretary Muhammad Sohail, Punjab Chief Drugs Controller M Munawar Hayat and other officers of the Provincial Drug Control Unit, Provincial Quality Control Board, Chief Drugs Controller Office and secretaries District Quality Control Board were also present in the meeting.
Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare department Ali Jan Khan reviewed the monthly progress of all the districts. Additional Secretary Drugs Control, Muhammad Sohail communicated that total 666 cases were decided by DQCB in the last month, decision of permission for prosecution was given in 388 cases, warning was issued in 206 cases and permission of FIR was granted in seven cases.
Punjab Licensing Authority CDC Muhammad Munawar Hayat presented the data of Central Drugs Sale Licensing (CDSL) and informed the meeting that 15,605 licenses have been printed and 23,097 files have been entered in the system to date.
